Music as a tribute
The compilation was published on November 1, 2024 and the official presentation took place in São Paulo. Everything was born thanks to the collaboration of Universal Music with Bulldozer Network and Senna Brands, whose CEO is Bianca Senna, Ayrton’s niece. The goal? Celebrate the life and career of F1 champion Ayrton Senna, through EDM/Electronic songs that contain original recordings of the driver.
A focus on the artists and songs
Many artists participated in the compilation. We find the Italians MEDUZA with “Seek Your Truth (A Vitória)” and many international artists such as Armin Van Buuren and Vintage Culture, but also Alok, Nicky Romero or Tchami. Among all of them, however, the “presence” of the same driver is very particular, included in featuring and with a dedicated profile, for example on Spotify.
Senna Driven is set to spotlight the lasting legacy and influence of the three-time F1 world champion, both within the sport and beyond. This unique project brings together two increasingly intertwined worlds: electronic music and Formula 1. In recent years, EDM has played a significant role in F1, with numerous DJ sets enhancing the atmosphere at Grand Prix events. Artists like Armin Van Buuren have even unveiled new tracks before races, as he did at the Dutch GP. Additionally, EDM has featured prominently in F1’s “Takeovers,” blending high-energy music with the thrill of motorsport to engage fans globally, like with the official F1 playlists.
The goal behind the project
The album is part of a larger project, created to celebrate his career and his life. The inspiring objective is to convey all of Senna’s inspiring energy through the use of recordings and vocal fragments in the songs, articulated by famous quotes from the driver, obviously taken from his interviews. All to offer an immersive experience, to long-time fans, to younger generations of fans and to those to come. And obviously, to EDM enthusiasts, who can count 21 tracks in Senna Driven.
